How It Works
What to expect when you contact Lavi Law Group, from your first call.

- 01
Reach out
Call the office or complete the contact form with a short description of your situation. An attorney will follow up to learn more and, if appropriate, schedule a consultation.
- 02
Confidential consultation
You’ll speak with an attorney about what happened. Consultations are available by phone or video, in English, Spanish and Farsi. It helps to have relevant documents on hand, such as:
- Offer letter or employment contract
- Pay stubs and time records
- Performance reviews
- Emails, texts or other messages
- Termination or discipline notices
- Employee handbook or policies
- Names of people involved or who witnessed events
- 03
Engagement and investigation
If we agree to work together, we’ll put the terms in a written engagement agreement. The firm then gathers the facts, reviews documents and develops a strategy based on your goals.
- 04
Working toward resolution
Depending on the matter, this may involve negotiation, an administrative complaint, mediation or arbitration, or a lawsuit. We’ll keep you informed and involved in key decisions along the way.
PATHS TO RESOLUTION
How employment matters are commonly resolved
Negotiation
Direct discussions with the employer or its counsel, often before any case is filed.
Mediation & arbitration
Resolution with a neutral third party, sometimes required by an employment agreement.
Litigation
Filing a lawsuit and, when a case does not resolve, presenting it at trial.
Every matter is different. Which path applies depends on the facts and the law involved.
FEES
How fees work
We work on a contingency basis: there are no fees unless we win your case. All terms are set out in our written fee agreement.
COMMUNICATION
